Il Percorso
La “10 Miglia del castello” sul lago di Endine, è una corsa unica nel suo genere, oltre a poter fare liberamente il giro del lago di Endine, specchio d’acqua posto in valle Cavallina, gli atleti hanno la possibilità di percorrere da Endine fino a Spinone al Lago la Statale 42 libera dalle automobili. Il serpentone di atleti parte dal centro sportivo di Endine per dirigersi verso il basso lago passando la sponda di Ranzanico per giungere a Spinone, qui si attraversa il ponte sul Cherio, fiume che nasce proprio dalle acque del lago di Endine, per arrivare a Monasterolo. Qui altro passaggio suggestivo con gli atleti che passano nel castello di Monasterolo del Castello. Da qui inizia la risalita degli atleti lungo la passeggiata con scorci unici. Si passa poi dal borgo di San Felice al Lago e si torna al punto di partenza, al centro sportivo di Endine dove si conclude la gara. Molti gli spunti interessanti per una visita nel pomeriggio. Qui è possibile visitare la “Valle del freddo”, dove si conserva la tipica flora di alta montagna come stelle alpine e rododendri ad un’altezza di 350 mt sul livello del mare, oltre ad un bellissimo borgo e la sua Chiesa del XXIII sec. La corsa, lasciato l’abitato di Endine Gaiano, prosegue sulla SS42 verso Ranzanico, dal cui “terrazzo” è possibile godersi l’incantevole lago, circondato da splendidi paesaggi montani. Costeggiando per lunghi tratti il lago la corsa prosegue, prima di transitare per la suggestiva piazza di Monasterolo del castello. Da qui in avanti le emozioni si susseguono senza sosta, dapprima passando nella piazza di San Felice, ridente frazione di Endine, poi con paesaggi naturalistici a tu per tu con le rive del lago, circondati da una natura incontaminata che saprà catturare l’attenzione dei runners fino all’arrivo.
