Val di Zoldo (Belluno), 7 settembre 2025 – Oltre mille concorrenti hanno dato vita, domenica 7 settembre, alla diciottesima edizione di Transpelmo, la skyrun della Val di Zoldo che dal 2008 si disputa attorno al Monte Pelmo, una delle vette di maggior fascino delle Dolomiti Bellunesi. Per i concorrenti, che arrivavano da cinquanta province italiane e nove nazioni, si sono confrontati sul tradizionale tracciato di 19, 5 chilometri di sviluppo e 1.450 i metri di dislivello, sia positivo sia negativo, con partenza e arrivo fissati nella località di Pécol.

 

A vincere, Luca Cagnati, bellunese di Canale d’Agordo, classe 1990, ex azzurro della corsa in montagna. Cagnati ha preso la testa della corsa sulle rampe che portavano a Forcella Val d’Arcia (quota 2.475 metri, “tetto della gara”) per poi mantenere la leadership in vetta e resistere al rientro di Michele Sulli lungo la lunghissima discesa verso il traguardo. Alla fine, bracciata alzate per Cagnati, al traguardo in 1h58’57”: per Luca si tratta della quarta vittoria dopo quelle del 2016, 2017 e 2018. Piazza d’onore per Michele Sulli, carnico di Verzegnis, staccato di 1’04”9, e sul terzo gradino del podio l’austriaco Wendelin Mörtendorfer, con un ritardo di 2’56”. A completare la top five, nell’ordine, Enea Marzari e Luca Bertoldo.

 

«La prima volta ho vinto sette anni fa, quindi essere ancora sul primo gradino del podio è una bella soddisfazione» commenta Luca Cagnati. «Non avevo una giornata super e ho sofferto la partenza a razzo ma con l’esperienza sono riuscito a gestirmi e tenere dietro tutti».

 

Tra le donne, dopo due quinti e un terzo posto, a scrivere il proprio nome nell’albo d’oro di Transpelmo è stata la bellunese Sara Campigotto: 2h32’03” il tempo fatto registrare dalla vincitrice che ha preceduto due atlete lombarde: Irene Girola (staccata di 6’23”) e Celeste Zanella (a 6’25”).

 

«Finalmente dopo tanti piazzamenti la Transpelmo, gara bellissima, è mia» commenta Sara Campigotto. «Ho voluto fare forte la salita verso Val d’Arcia per cercare di avere un margine di sicurezza in vista della discesa, terreno che non è proprio il mio ambito preferito. È andata bene e sono davvero contenta perché questa è una delle mie prime gare, visto che la stagione è stata rallentata da qualche problema fisico nella prima parte».

 

Transpelmo 2025 ha proposto anche la novità “Pelmo Sprint Run”, gara dal chilometraggio e dal dislivello ridotti: 8,5 chilometri per 650 metri di dislivello sia positivo sia negativo, sempre con partenza e arrivo nel centro di Pècol. A vincere sono stati il bellunese di Auronzo di Cadore Federico Vecellio Patis e la “padrona di casa”, la zoldana Martina Brustolon.

 

«Una gara dura, anche se dal chilometraggio ridotto» spiega Federico Vecellio Patis. «Una bella vittoria, ottenuta riuscendo a tenere a bada un avversario temibile come il padrona di casa Elia Costa».

 

«Nel 2008 avevo inaugurato l’albo d’oro della Transpelmo, ora ho inaugurato l’albo d’oro della Pelmo Sprint: non posso che essere contenta di essere stata, a distanza di diciassette anni, ancora protagonista nella gara di casa» commenta Martina Brustolon. «Questa nuova gara? È una gara sprint ma bisogna davvero avere molto sprint nelle gambe perché il percorso non è per nulla banale».

 

Transpelmo, come tradizione, ha dedicato spazio anche ai più piccoli con “Zoldino Run”, gara che ha visto confrontarsi un centinaio di under 12.

 

«Abbiamo registrato il sold out, vale a dire mille concorrenti, nella Sky Run, un centinaio nella Pelmo Sprint e un altro centinaio nella Zoldino Run: si tratta di numeri che ci danno grandissima soddisfazione» commentano Andrea Cero ed Eris Costa, coordinatori dello staff organizzativo. «A proposito di numeri ci piace ricordare anche i duecentocinquanta volontari che hanno presidiato il percorso e che hanno lavorato in zona partenza e arrivo: un supporto imprescindibile per il quale non finiremo mai di ringraziare, così come siamo grati alle tante aziende, Salomon in primis, che ci danno fiducia. Abbiamo proposto, come lo scorso anno, la “fans zone” a Forcella Val d’Arcia, un’area nella quale i tifosi, cresciuti numericamente, fanno sentire tutto il loro calore agli atleti, che hanno apprezzato. La riproporremo, così come proporremo il prossimo anno la Pelmo Sprint per la quale quest’anno abbiamo preso le misure».
