Nel tratto sulla ciclopedonabile i primi due hanno incrementato il ritmo e il ruandese Simukeka, specialista anche delle competizioni skyrunning, ha ceduto il passo, rimontato e superato poco dopo dall’altoatesino Michael Hofer. La gara maschile si è decisa sul lungo lago fra porto San Nicolò e Riva del Garda, quando Jean Marie Vianney Niyomykiza ha messo il turbo e Simon Kibet Loitanyang non è riuscito a stargli alle costole, chiudendo la gara con un ritardo di 11 secondi. Nella 10K, con partenza da Arco e arrivo a Riva del Garda, si è imposto il marocchino tesserato con l’Atletica Rodengo Saiano Abdellatif Batel, dopo una gara sempre in testa e conclusa con il tempo di 31’19”, precedendo il compagno di squadra Loris cittadini e il trentino Nicola Duchi. Al femminile affermazione di Maria Gorette Subano del Cus Pro Patria Milano con il tempo di 33’55”, davanti a Giulia Vettor del Cus Parma e all’ucraina Mariya Radko.
